Community: Manage Several Telegram Groups Together

Link up to 5 Telegram groups and channels in a Security community, so a ban given in one applies in all: setup in private, what's shared, invitations, a shared log.

Open Doublegram Security

A community links up to 5 of your Telegram chats, groups and channels, so that a ban given in one applies in all the others, and a mute given in one group applies in the other groups too. You set it up in private with Doublegram Security. Every group in a community needs Doublegram Premium, channels don't: see Security Premium for your group.

Create a community

  1. In one of your groups, send /settings, open 👥 Community and tap 👤 Manage in private.
  2. In the private chat with Security, tap ➕ Create a community and write its name, up to 40 characters, within 5 minutes.
  3. Open the community and add your chats:
    • ➕ Add a chat of mine lists the groups you created that have Security: tap one to link it.
    • ➕ Add a channel: forward a post from the channel. Security has to be an admin there.
    • ✉️ Invite someone else's group: see below.

The rule is the one Security shows: A chat works in a community only if Security is an admin there with the Ban users permission, and a group also needs Premium. A chat can be in one community only. When a group is linked, Security announces it there, with the community's name.

What travels between the chats

In ⚙️ Shared punishments, on by default:

  • Bans always travel, to groups and channels.
  • Mutes travel to the other groups with Also share mutes, on by default.
  • Removals travel only with Also share removals, off by default.
  • Lifting a punishment travels the same way.

With Only what this bot does, the default, only punishments given by Security travel: its filters, Antiflood and its commands. With Every punishment in the group, bans and mutes given by hand in Telegram or by another bot travel too.

  • The other chats act about 15 seconds later, and never against their own admins.
  • Someone removed only because they didn't verify isn't punished elsewhere.
  • Warnings stay in their group; the punishment they lead to travels.
  • After a raid, an admin extends its bans with 👥 Extend to the whole community on the incident card. See Antiraid.

Outcomes and alerts say where else the action applied, for example 👥 And in: Book Club.

Invite someone else's group

✉️ Invite someone else's group gives you a link for the owner of that group. It works once, for 24 hours, and opening the screen again makes a new link that replaces the old one. The owner opens it, picks one of the groups they created, and it's linked. Only the creator of a group can bring it into a community.

One log for all the chats

🧾 Log in the shared channel copies alerts from every chat into one of the log channels already connected to your groups, with the name of the chat. Pick the channel and turn on Shared log. It carries the alerts of Antispam, Banned words, Alphabets and Explicit images, and failed first comments. For chats that aren't yours, their creator is asked in private first, and nothing is written until they answer ✅ Yes, write it. Log channels: see Admin alerts.

Remove a chat or dissolve

Tap ➖ with the chat's name, then Yes, remove it: it stops sending and receiving punishments. 🚪 Dissolve this community → Yes, dissolve it sets every chat free. Either way, the bans already given stay. Only the community's owner can remove a chat: to take your group out of someone else's community, ask them.

With a community, Network Trust can count only the checks passed in your own chats: choose Only my community.
