Antiflood: Slow Down Members Who Flood the Chat
Antiflood in Doublegram Security mutes or bans whoever floods your Telegram group with too many messages or the same thing over and over. Admins aren't touched.
Open Doublegram SecurityAntiflood stops one member who floods the chat: too many messages a minute, or the same thing over and over. By default it mutes them for an hour. It watches every member, not only new ones, and never touches admins. Antiflood is part of Doublegram Premium: see Security Premium for your group. With Premium it's on from the start.
When it steps in
- Too fast: 20 messages within a minute, by default. Every kind of message counts, voice messages and polls included.
- The same thing again and again: the same photo, sticker, GIF, link or text 10 times within 3 minutes. For short texts like "ok" it takes 20.
Edited messages don't count. When it's on, it acts: there is no alert-only mode.
Set it up
- In the group, send
/settings. - Tap 🌊 Flood and raids, then Antiflood.
- The first button turns it on or off: 🟢 on, 🔴 off.
- 🚀 Speed limit: from 5 to 120 messages a minute, or Default (20). The repeat count follows it: half the speed limit, never under 4.
- Action: Mute (default) or Ban. A ban lasts until an admin unbans them.
- ⏱ Muted for: 1 hour by default, from 1 minute to 7 days, or Until an admin unmutes them.
- Delete their messages: off by default. On, it also deletes the person's recent messages.
- 🔔 Admin alerts: where the alert goes.
If the person is already muted for longer, or banned, by another filter or by an admin, Antiflood doesn't shorten it. Members get no notice in the group. If the group is in a community, the mute or ban follows the community's rules: see Community.
The alert
Admins get a card, for example Antiflood — Confirmed flood, with who flooded and what was done. It goes to the log channel and, in private, to the admins who started a chat with @doublegram_captcha_bot. See Admin alerts.
Its buttons undo it or go harder: 🔊 Let them speak again, 🔇 Mute who flooded, 🧹 Delete their messages, 🚫 Ban who posted, 🔓 Unban them, ✅ False alarm. Each one asks for a confirmation, and only the group's admins can press them. When it's over, tap ✔️ It is over, close.
Antiflood and Antiraid
Antiflood deals with one person at a time, whoever they are. Antiraid watches new members arriving together. They work apart: Antiflood acts whatever the Antiraid mode, even with Antiraid off. When Antiraid sees a small burst from just a few new accounts, it treats it as a flood and uses the Antiflood settings.
Antiflood or Telegram's slow mode
Telegram has its own slow mode: group info → Edit → Permissions, in the Slowmode section. The menu names change a little between Telegram apps. Slow mode makes every member wait between two messages, from 10 seconds to 1 hour, all the time. Admins aren't limited.
- Slow mode slows down the whole chat, including people who write normally. Good for a busy event or a giveaway.
- Antiflood leaves normal conversation alone and acts only on whoever goes over the limit.
The two work together: slow mode sets the pace, Antiflood stops whoever repeats the same thing.
