How to Schedule a Message on Telegram, and Posts in Your Channel
Schedule a message in the Telegram app with Schedule Message, Send When Online or a reminder, and schedule posts in your groups and channels with Doublegram AI.
Open Doublegram AITo schedule a message on Telegram, write it, press and hold the Send button, tap Schedule Message and pick the date and time. It works in private chats, groups and channels where you can write. Doublegram AI schedules the posts it writes for your groups and channels, and the ones you write yourself: you choose the time on the post's confirmation message.
Schedule a message in the Telegram app
- Open the chat, group or channel and write the message, or attach a photo or a file.
- Press and hold the Send button.
- Tap Schedule Message.
- Choose the day and the time, then tap the button at the bottom, which reads like Send tomorrow at 9:00.
With Telegram Premium, the same screen also has Repeat, for a message that goes out again every day, week or month. The menu names change a little between Telegram apps.
Once a message is scheduled, an icon appears in the message field: it opens Scheduled Messages. Press and hold a message there to Send Now, Reschedule, edit or delete it.
Send When Online and reminders
- Send When Online: in a private chat, when the other person is offline and you can see their last seen, holding Send offers this option. The message waits and goes out as soon as they come online.
- Set a Reminder: in Saved Messages, holding Send shows this instead of Schedule Message. At that time Telegram notifies you with the message. The list is called Reminders.
Schedule posts with Doublegram AI
Ask @DoublegramAIBot for the post: write a post for Weekend Hikers News about Sunday's hike. On its confirmation message, tap 🕐 Change the time: 📅 When should it go out? Times are in UTC time. with:
- ⚡ Right away, In 1 hour, Tonight 18:00 (until 18:00), Tomorrow 9:00 and Tomorrow 18:00.
- 📅 Pick day and time: a calendar of 4 weeks at a time, with ⬅️ ➡️, then the hour, then the minutes.
The confirmation message now says 🕐 When: …. Nothing is scheduled until you tap ✅ Confirm and schedule: the bot answers 📅 Scheduled: … with the time and the chats, and 📅 See scheduled posts. The same choice is the last step of a post you write yourself: see Posts with buttons and polls.
A post can go out in several chats and on Discord at once, and it can have a life after publication. Tap 📌 After publishing to pin it when it goes out or have it removed after a while, or say it: publish it and remove it after 1 minute, pin it for 24 hours, at 18:00 change the text to ….
Times follow your time zone, and the time choice says which one. The first time you schedule something, the bot shows the time it assumes: tap the right one if it's different where you are. You can change it later in /settings → 🕐 Time zone, and the bot asks whether to move what you already scheduled.
