Pin, Edit or Remove a Telegram Post After Publishing

To pin a message in Telegram, press and hold it and tap Pin; in a group, choose whether to notify all members. For the posts that @DoublegramAIBot published, write what you need (there's a typo in yesterday's post, pin it, remove this morning's post) or use the buttons in /posts, and confirm: Doublegram AI changes the post in every chat where it went out, or only in the chat you name.

Pin a message in the Telegram app

1. Press and hold the message.
2. Tap Pin.
3. In a group, choose Pin and notify all members or Only Pin. In a private chat, Pin for me and Alex or Pin for me.

To unpin, hold the pinned message and tap Unpin. Who can pin depends on the chat's settings: in a channel, admins with Edit Messages of Others. The same hold menu has Edit and Delete for your own messages. The menu names change a little between Telegram apps.

To find a post, describe it (the one about Sunday's hike) or forward it from your channel to the bot. Or send /posts and tap 📬 Published: one button per post, 6 per page. An opened post shows its text, Reactions: 3 · replies: 1, the marks 📌 pinned, ⏳ expires and ✏️ corrected, and the buttons:

• ↗️ Open in Weekend Hikers News, or ↗️ Open the message when it's in several chats.
• ✏️ Fix the text and 🔘 Buttons.
• 📌 Pin (or 📌 Unpin) and 🗑 Remove, in every chat where the post is. For one chat only, ask in words.
• 📤 Post again, 💬 Ask in words, and 🔁 Open the automation for a post an automation wrote.

Correct a published post

• ✏️ Fix the text: Send the text as it should go out. Before the published post changes, you confirm it. A published post takes a new text, not a new photo.
• 🔘 Buttons: change them as on a new post, then ✅ Change the post's buttons.
• 💬 Ask in words, or write it: Write what to correct: the sentence, the date, the button, the photo.

The confirmation message, ✏️ Correct the published post, shows the post, where it is, and only what changes: the old words crossed out and the new ones in bold. When almost everything changes, it says almost the whole text: the new version is above. ✅ Correct in all 2 applies it in both chats (✅ Correct for one): ✅ Corrected in Weekend Hikers News, Weekend Hikers. To undo: put it back as it was. Writing put it back as it was brings ↩️ Put the post back as it was with ↩️ Put it back.

Telegram's limits: a published poll can't be changed, a text post can't get a photo later, and a photo or video can't be taken off (post it again instead). Extra messages can be changed, not added or removed. A post in several chats can be corrected in one chat only: from then on its copies differ, and put it back as it was works chat by chat too. Copies sent to Discord stay as they went out.

Pin, remove or set an expiry

• Pin: pin yesterday's post, or 📌 Pin in the menu. The message 📌 Pin the post, then 📌 Pinned in Weekend Hikers News. Doublegram AI pins without notifying the members. Without the permission: Couldn't pin: … The bot needs the permission to pin messages there.
• Remove: 🗑 Remove the published post? with the first line, the chats and the reactions, then 🗑 Post removed. If Telegram refuses, the bot says why.
• Later: take it down after 24 hours, remove it in 10 minutes, unpin it tomorrow, at 18:00 change it to …, in every chat or in one only. After ✅ Confirm the bot says what will happen and when, such as ⏳ The post will be removed …; don't remove it any more cancels it.
• Before it goes out: on a new or scheduled post, 📌 After publishing pins it when it goes out and removes it after 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week or another duration. See Posts with buttons and polls.
• Post again: the post and its confirmation message arrive as for a new post, starting from where to publish.

To pin, Doublegram AI needs Pin Messages as an admin of a group, or Edit Messages of Others as an admin of a channel. How did the post go?

Ask how did Tuesday's post go?: the AI gives the reactions and replies, and what the chat did in the hours after compared with the hours before, as something that coincides, never as a sure cause. Reactions and replies are counted only where the bot is an admin, from the moment it listens, and Telegram doesn't give view counts to bots.
