How to Make Telegram Stickers, With AI or From a Photo
Make Telegram stickers from a photo with Telegram's own sticker editor or @Stickers, or ask Doublegram AI to draw them, and keep them in your own sticker packs.
Open Doublegram AITo make a Telegram sticker from a photo, open the sticker panel in any chat, tap Create Sticker, pick the photo and cut out the subject: Telegram turns it into a sticker you can send or add to a set. With @DoublegramAIBot you can also turn a photo into a cartoon sticker without the background, or get a sticker from a sentence, like a cat drinking coffee.
With Telegram's sticker editor
- In any chat, open the emoji panel next to the message field and go to the stickers.
- Tap Create Sticker and choose a photo. When you're viewing a photo, the same option is in its menu.
- Tap the subject to cut it out (Cut Out an Object), fix the edges with Erase and Restore, and tap Add Outline for a border if you like.
- Pick the emoji that goes with it, then choose Send Sticker, Add to Favorites or Add to Sticker Set. Your first set starts with New Sticker Set and a name.
The menu names change a little between Telegram apps.
With @Stickers
@Stickers is Telegram's own bot for sticker sets. Send it /newpack, give the set a name, then send each sticker as a PNG or WEBP image with one side of 512 pixels, with an emoji for each. It suits a set made from images you prepared yourself, and it's where you manage that set later.
With Doublegram AI
Send a photo, or point to one you already sent, and say what you want:
- The photo as it is: make it a sticker. The photo is resized to Telegram's sticker format, background included. You pay only the answer, 4 credits (8 with Max).
- Drawn from your photo: a cartoon sticker of this, without the background, in anime style. The AI redraws the subject in that style and removes the background: 6 credits on top of the answer. Without a style, it's a bold cartoon; ask for anime, pixel art, watercolor or flat vector.
- Drawn from a sentence: a sticker of a cat drinking coffee: 6 credits on top of the answer.
One answer can bring up to 2 stickers. Each arrives with Sticker ready. No credits used. or Sticker ready. 6 credits., and under it 🪄 Drawn by the AI (6) to redraw a plain sticker, or 🎲 Another version (6) for a drawn one, each costing only those 6 credits, and ➕ Add to my pack. The buttons work for an hour, and the redraws stop at your credit budget. If a redraw fails, the bot writes The sticker couldn't be made from this photo. Try another one. For images that aren't stickers, see Create and edit images.
Your own sticker packs
Your own sticker packs are part of Doublegram Premium, see How AI credits work. Without it, the button reads 🔒 Add to my pack.
- Tap ➕ Add to my pack under a sticker. The bot asks Which pack?
- Pick a pack, or tap ➕ New pack and send its name: Name of the new pack, up to 64 characters:
- The bot confirms that the pack was created or the sticker added, with the pack's link.
They're real Telegram sticker packs: open the link to add a pack to your stickers, and share it with anyone. Each pack holds up to 120 stickers, and you can have up to 20. /settings → 🎨 Sticker packs lists them, and each one opens with ↗️ Open in Telegram, ✏️ Rename and 🗑 Delete. Deleting asks first, because it removes the pack from Telegram for good. A single sticker can't be taken out of a pack from the bot. If Premium ends, your packs stay on Telegram and in the list: only adding stickers needs Premium.
