Manage Your Automations: Pause, Try, Change or Delete
Open /automations in Doublegram AI to see when each automation runs and how the last run went, then pause, resume, try, change or delete it with a tap or a sentence.
Open Doublegram AITo manage your automations, send /automations to @DoublegramAIBot, or tap 🔁 Automations under /start. You see them all in one message, and each one opens with what it does, when it runs and how the last run went, with buttons to pause, try, change or delete it. Writing works too: pause the weekend events, move the Monday report to 8.
The list
At the top, 🔁 Automations · 3 active and the next run: Next: …, "Weekend events". Then one button per automation, with its state, name and schedule, 6 per page:
- 🟢 active, ⏸ paused, ✔️ ended;
- ⏳ waiting for Premium or for credits;
- ⚠️ the last run didn't work.
At the bottom, ➕ New automation and ◀️ Back. Tap a name to open it in the same message.
One automation
Its screen shows the name and the state, the same sentences as when you created it, the next run (or Paused: nothing goes out until you resume it.), and how the last run went: Last run: …, or why it didn't go out, such as the post repeated a recent one, so it didn't go out or skipped, out of credits. An alert also says how many times in a row it stayed silent. The buttons:
- ⏸ Pause, or ▶️ Resume, or ⏮️ Start again when it has ended.
- 🧪 Try now.
- ✏️ Change and 📬 Its posts, the posts it published.
- 🗑 Delete, ⬅️ ➡️ to the previous or next automation, and ◀️ Back.
Pause, resume, start again
Pausing and resuming happen at once, with no confirmation: ⏸ Weekend events is paused. It won't run until you resume it., and then ▶️ Weekend events is active again. Next run: … A paused automation keeps its settings and costs nothing. ⏮️ Start again restarts an ended automation from the beginning; if its end date has passed, the bot first asks how long it should run.
Try it now
🧪 Try now asks first: 🧪 Try "Weekend events" now? The post arrives here to review, and goes out in Weekend Hikers News only if you confirm it. It costs 4 credits. (with a fixed text: It's your text, no credits.). After you confirm, 🧪 "Weekend events" is running now: it arrives here in a minute. While it runs you see what it's doing and the text being written, and you can stop it: ⏹ Test run of Weekend events stopped: no credits were used.
The post reaches you in private first: This is what "Weekend events" would publish. Publish it, or say what to change., with its confirmation message. A report meant for you simply arrives in the chat. A try costs like a run: 4 credits, 8 with Max, 6 more with an image, nothing with a fixed text. If there's nothing new to say, nothing to report, or the try doesn't work, the bot says so and no credits are used.
Change it
✏️ Change opens ✏️ What do you want to change? with 🕐 Days and time, 📍 Where it goes out, 📝 What it writes, 🔚 When it stops, ✋ Before publishing and 🏷 Rename. Every tap saves at once, for free.
Under 📝 What it writes you can switch between the two kinds: 📝 Use a fixed text, free asks Write the text that goes out every time, exactly as it should appear., and 🤖 Let AI write it instead asks Write what the AI should write every time: the topic, the tone, where to look. A fixed text isn't offered for automations that look at data, crypto, X or Scribe, have a condition or update a post.
💬 Ask in words, or just write the change: Write what to change in "Weekend events": the time, the days, where it goes, what it writes. The message ✏️ Weekend events, changes: shows only what changes, before → after. Tap ✅ Confirm: ✅ Changed. Next run: … Asking in words costs one answer.
Delete it
🗑 Delete brings 🗑 Delete the automation "Weekend events"? It stops for good; the posts already published stay. Confirm with 🗑 Yes, delete: 🗑 "Weekend events" deleted.
When a sentence could mean more than one automation, the bot shows them as buttons and you pick one. Pausing and resuming then happen at once; deleting and trying still ask first.
Messages from your automations
- A run that didn't go out: ⚠️ Weekend events didn't go out. The bot can't post in Weekend Hikers News: check that it's still an admin, with permission to post. It tries again by itself at the next run, … At most once every 6 hours for each automation.
- Three failed runs in a row: the automation pauses itself, ⏸ Weekend events is paused: the last 3 runs didn't work… Once that's sorted, resume it., with ▶️ Resume and 🧪 Try now.
- Not enough credits: one message for all your automations written by the AI, ⏸ Weekend events was skipped: each run costs 4 credits and you have 2. The ones with a fixed text still go out, and the others start again by themselves when you have credits again.
- Waiting for Premium: an automation that reads your groups' numbers waits while there's no Premium, and starts again by itself when Premium is active: ⏳ Weekend report is waiting for Premium…
- A restart of the bot: a run cut short picks up where it stopped. Nothing goes out twice, and credits are charged once.
Skipped runs that repeat a recent post, or have nothing new to say, stay silent and cost nothing: the Last run line of the automation shows them. The credit budget limits the answers in chat, not automations, but what automations spend counts toward it: see Set a credit budget.
