Saved Instructions, Notes and Chat Rules: Tell the AI How You Work
Teach Doublegram AI how you work: personal instructions for every answer, notes it keeps about you, saved instructions you call by name, and what it knows about each of your chats.
Open Doublegram AIDoublegram AI learns how you work in four ways: personal instructions that apply to every answer, personal notes with lasting facts about you, saved instructions, short recipes you call by name, and what it knows about each of your groups and channels. All of them count in every conversation, also after /new.
Personal instructions
One text, up to 1,000 characters, on how you want answers and posts: the tone, what to keep in mind, how to sign.
- Send
/settingsand tap 🎭 How it answers → ✏️ Personal instructions. - The bot writes ✏️ Write your personal instructions in a reply to this message: how you want answers, what to keep in mind, how to sign posts. Up to 1,000 characters.
- Reply to that message with your text, within 15 minutes. The bot confirms with ✅ Instructions saved.
For example: I run Weekend Hikers, a hiking community for beginners. Keep answers practical and friendly. Sign posts with "The Weekend Hikers team". New instructions replace the old ones, and 🗑 Remove instructions deletes them. Length, emoji, tone and language have their own buttons in the same screen: see Standard or Max: choose how the AI answers.
Personal notes
Tell the AI something lasting about you and ask it to remember: remember that I sign posts as Giulia, remember that Weekend Hikers is my main group. The AI saves it as a note, one short sentence, and uses it in every conversation.
- Up to 30 notes. Never sensitive data: the AI doesn't save passwords, card numbers or documents.
- To see them:
/settings→ 🧠 Memory and notes → 📝 Personal notes (2), with the number of notes you have. Each note has its own 🗑 button: tap it to delete that note. - In words: forget that I sign as Giulia.
Beyond the conversation, the AI remembers your notes, instructions, saved instructions and settings, and nothing else. If it should still know something next month, ask it to remember it.
Where you live works the same way: I live in Milan sets your time zone for scheduled posts and automations. If something is already scheduled, the bot asks whether to move it to the new time. See Doublegram AI settings and privacy.
Saved instructions
A recipe you use often, saved under a name. The settings describe them as Short recipes you can call by name.
- Write it once and name it: save this as the Monday recap: members, messages and the best post of each group.
- When you need it, call it: do the Monday recap. Add what's different this time in the same sentence: do the Monday recap, only for Weekend Hikers.
- Up to 30, with names up to 40 characters. Saving under a name you already used replaces that recipe.
- The list is in
/settings→ 🎭 How it answers → 📌 Saved instructions (1), where the 🗑 button with a recipe's name deletes it. In words: delete the Monday recap instruction.
A saved instruction runs when you ask for it. For something that should go out by itself every week, create an automation: see Telegram channel automation.
What it knows about each chat
For every group and channel where it publishes, the AI keeps what the chat is about, its rules and the style of its posts, and follows them whenever it writes for that chat.
- The first time Doublegram AI can publish in a new chat, the bot offers Read the channel (or Read the group), Describe it in words and Not now. After reading, it shows what it understood, with That's right and Fix it.
- Learn its style: learn how Weekend Hikers News is written. For a public channel the AI reads its latest posts, its description and its pinned message. For a group, it reads the last few days of messages that Doublegram Scribe keeps. For a private channel, or a group without Scribe, forward 5-10 typical posts, or describe the chat in words.
- Describe it: Weekend Hikers News is the channel of our hiking group, for beginners.
- Rules: in Weekend Hikers News always write in English and sign with "The Weekend Hikers team". A rule is saved right away and applies to every post for that chat, even when one request publishes in several chats. Remove the rule about emoji in Weekend Hikers News takes one away.
- The same correction twice: if you ask for the same change twice for one chat, such as shorter posts, the bot asks whether to keep it as a rule for that chat, with Yes, always and No, just this time.
- Check it: what do you know about Weekend Hikers News? shows what the AI knows. Don't learn from this channel stops it learning from new posts there.
