What Scribe Remembers: Group Memory and Notes

Scribe keeps your Telegram group's messages for 7 days, up to 90 with Premium, and notes on what stays true. Anyone can see the notes with /memory.

Open Doublegram Scribe

Scribe remembers your group in two ways: the messages of the last days, and the notes, the facts that stay true. That's how its AI can answer about what was said, and how /search finds old messages.

The messages

Scribe keeps the text of the group's messages: what people write, the captions, and the transcripts of voice messages. Never the files, and never secret messages.

For how long: 7 days in free groups. With Premium, admins choose 7, 30 or 90 days, and 90 is the default. Every night, older messages are deleted. To change it: /start, then ⚙️ Settings → 🧠 Memory.

Scribe only remembers what was written while it was in the group as an admin.

The notes

Notes are what stays true: decisions, roles, nicknames, recurring events, useful links. A group can have up to 60.

  • When someone asks: @DoublegramScribeBot remember that the meeting is every Monday at 6pm. Scribe saves a note and confirms in one sentence.
  • Automatic notes, with Premium: every night Scribe rereads the day and keeps the facts that stay true, up to 5 new notes a night, in groups with at least 20 messages that day. When something changes, it updates the note. They're on by default, and can be turned off in 🧠 Memory.

Scribe doesn't put sensitive personal data in the notes, such as health, politics, religion, addresses or phone numbers, nor gossip or anything from secret messages.

Notes don't expire with the messages: they stay until they're deleted or updated.

See and delete the notes

Anyone in the group can send /memory to see the notes. Admins delete one with its 🗑 button. The same list is in ⚙️ Settings → 🧠 Memory → 📝 Notes.

You can also ask the AI to delete a note: @DoublegramScribeBot forget that the meeting is on Monday. Everyone can always have the notes they asked for deleted. The others only when an admin asks, unless the admins turn off Others' notes: admins only in 🧠 Memory.

In the same menu, 🗑 Delete the memory deletes all the saved messages and all the notes. Settings and reminders stay.

What the AI reads when you ask

The last day of messages, the notes, and the older messages it searches, as far back as the memory goes. Plus what the admins wrote in 📚 What Scribe should know: see How Scribe's AI answers.

What Scribe saves, and how each member can delete their part, is in What Scribe saves and how to delete it.
