@DoublegramScribeBot understands natural language reminders in Telegram. Say what to remember and when — the bot parses the time, stores the reminder, and sends a 🔔 notification in the chat when it fires.
How to ask in Telegram:
- Private chat — Message @DoublegramScribeBot directly (subscription required)
- Telegram group — Mention @DoublegramScribeBot in your message (group premium required)
Examples
- Remind me to call Marco tomorrow at 10
- @DoublegramScribeBot remind me to send the report on Friday at 3pm
- Set a reminder for Monday morning: review the contract
- In 2 hours remind me to check the oven
Use a text message (or mention with text in a group). A voice note alone only transcribes — send a follow-up text or include the reminder in a typed message.
What Scribe needs
For a complete reminder, Scribe extracts:
- What — The reminder text (what you want to remember)
- When — Date and time in your local timezone
- Who (optional) — Other members to tag in the notification
If something is missing — e.g. you say remind me to call Marco without a time — Scribe asks a follow-up question to fill in the gap.
First-time setup: timezone
Before creating reminders, Scribe needs your timezone so tomorrow at 9 means your local 9:00, not another region's.
- If timezone is not set, Scribe shows buttons with the current time in each zone.
- Tap the button matching where you are.
- Repeat your reminder request — Scribe does not auto-retry after timezone setup.
Or set timezone anytime: /start → Settings → Set Timezone (see Timezone and Personality Settings in the Telegram Bot).
After you create a reminder
Scribe confirms with a summary:
- 📝 Reminder text
- 🕐 Scheduled date and time (in your timezone)
- 👤 Tagged people, if any
When the time arrives, Scribe posts 🔔 Reminder in the same chat (private or group). Reminders in forum topics fire inside that topic thread.
Your reminders vs others
Each user sees and manages their own active reminders in a chat. You create reminders for yourself; tagging others notifies them but does not give them edit access to your reminder.
Timing precision
Scribe checks for due reminders about once per minute. Expect notifications within roughly a minute of the scheduled time — not millisecond-perfect, but reliable for everyday use.
Troubleshooting
- Date must be in the future — Scribe rejects past times; pick a later slot
- Locked in private chat — Link account and subscribe (see Activate Scribe and Access Features on Telegram)
- Blocked in group — Enable group premium with
/upgrade - Wrong time — Fix timezone in Settings, then create a new reminder
Quick reference
- Ask in plain language — no command
- Text message (not voice-only)
- Timezone required first time
- Notification: 🔔 in same chat/topic
