Who Can Use Scribe's AI and How Many Credits It Spends

Every answer from Scribe's AI costs 4 credits to whoever provides the group's Premium. Admins decide who can ask, and how much can be spent: /start, then ⚙️ Settings → 👥 Who uses the AI.

Who can ask

• Everyone: the default.
• Admins only. The others read In this group only admins can use Scribe's AI.
• Owner only. Anonymous admins can't ask either.
• Nobody (AI off). Whoever mentions Scribe reads Scribe's AI is turned off in this group, at most once a day.

This covers everything that uses the AI: questions, /summary, /tldr, /translate and reminders. Transcription, /search, /pm and automatic replies don't use it, and keep working.

Spending limits

No limits by default. You can set two, in credits, with the number of answers they're worth:

• 👤 Per person: 20, 40, 100 or 200 credits, that is 5, 10, 25 or 50 answers each.
• 👥 Whole group: 100, 200, 500 or 1,000 credits, that is 25, 50, 125 or 250 answers for everyone together.

📅 Period says when they start again: every day, week or month. Month is the default.

The limits don't apply to whoever provides the group's Premium: they're there to protect that person's credits.

When a limit is reached

• Anna has reached their AI spending limit for this month in this group. The others can keep asking.
• This group has reached its AI spending limit for this month. Nobody can ask until the period starts again.

When the credits run out

If whoever provides Premium has less than 4 credits left, Scribe says The AI credits of whoever provides this group's Premium have run out, with a 💳 Top up credits button. Doublegram Premium includes 1,000 credits a month, and more can be bought on the AI credits page.
