Scribe Premium: What Your Group Gets and How to Turn It On

Scribe is free in every group: voice messages turn into text, and /search, /pm and automatic replies work. The AI comes with Doublegram Premium: one admin who has it turns it on for the group, and the members can use it as the admins decide.

Free and Premium

• The AI, with answers, /summary, /tldr, /translate and reminders: with Premium.
• Transcription: 30 minutes a day per group and 10 per person free, 120 and 40 with Premium.
• Longest voice message: 5 minutes free, 30 with Premium.
• Memory of the chat: 7 days free; 7, 30 or 90 days with Premium.
• Automatic notes every night: with Premium.
• /search, /pm, automatic replies and /reminders: free for every group.

When many voice messages are waiting, the ones from Premium groups go first.

How to turn on Premium in a group

The group's Premium comes from one person, who provides it. There are three ways:

• Add Scribe while you have Premium: the group is Premium straight away.
• From the menu: an admin with Premium sends /start in the group and taps 💎 Turn on Premium here. The same button is in ⚙️ Settings.
• With /upgrade: an admin sends /upgrade in the group. If they have Premium, it turns on at once. If not, Scribe takes them to its private chat: after signing in to Doublegram and paying, they come back there and the group turns on by itself.

Anonymous admins can't use /upgrade.

Price

Doublegram Premium costs $9.99 a month, and you can cancel anytime. The same subscription gives you 1,000 AI credits a month for Doublegram AI and Scribe, unlimited Lookup searches and Security in full.

Who pays for the AI

Every answer from the AI costs 4 credits, however long it is. The credits come from whoever provides the group's Premium, never from whoever asks. Errors and refused requests cost nothing.

So 1,000 credits are 250 answers. To keep them under control, admins can set limits per person and for the whole group: see Who can use Scribe's AI. When the credits run out, Scribe says so with a 💳 Top up credits button.

You can provide Premium to more than one group. They all use your credits, and transcription has a ceiling of 1,000 minutes a month across all your groups.

When the subscription ends

If the subscription of whoever provides Premium ends, the group's Premium pauses. The AI stops answering and says This group's Premium is paused, and transcription goes back to the free limits.

The memory goes back to 7 days too: the following night, messages older than that are deleted. Settings, notes and reminders stay, and reminders already set keep arriving.

Premium comes back on its own when the subscription is renewed, or when another admin with Premium turns it on in the group.

Release the group's Premium

Whoever provides Premium can stop at any time: ⚙️ Settings → 💎 Release the group's Premium. The AI stops answering in that group, and your credits are no longer spent there. Another admin with Premium can turn it back on.
