What is the Doublegram Lookup Telegram Bot?

Send @doublegram_lookup_bot what you have and Lookup tells you whether it's a person, a bot, a group or a channel, starting with its numeric ID. It takes a few seconds and no commands.

What you can send

• A username, with or without @. See Telegram username search.
• A numeric ID. See Search by numeric ID.
• A forwarded message, to find out who sent it, even without a username. See Find a Telegram user without a username.
• A t.me link, invite links to private groups and channels included. See Search by t.me link.

You can also search without leaving the chat you're in: type @dglookbot followed by what you're looking for. See Search from any chat.

What you'll find

For a person: name, username, ID, bio, when they were last seen and whether they have Telegram Premium. For a group or channel: title, description and number of members. If Telegram has flagged the account as a scam or a fake, Lookup says so at the top.

What Lookup can't do

• It only shows what Telegram makes public. If someone hides when they were last online, Lookup sees only the rough range Telegram shows everyone, like recently.
• It can't search by name or phone number.
• It can't find private groups and channels for you: you need their invite link. It never reads their messages.
• It doesn't keep a history of past names or usernames: it shows the profile as it is now.

In your groups

Add Lookup to your group and admins can reply to any message with /lookup to find out who wrote it. Lookup can also alert you when someone copies an admin's name. Both need Premium. See Lookup in your groups.
