How to search a t.me link with Lookup

1. Copy the link, from Telegram, a website or anywhere else.
2. Paste it into the chat with @doublegram_lookup_bot.
3. Lookup replies with the result.

The link can be inside a longer message: paste the whole message and Lookup finds the link by itself.

Which links work

• Profile links, like t.me/durov, with or without https://. telegram.me links work too.
• Links to a post, like t.me/durov/123: Lookup shows you the channel or group the post comes from.
• Invite links to groups and channels, like t.me/+AbCdEf or t.me/joinchat/AbCdEf.
• Bot links with a start parameter, like t.me/examplebot?start=abc.

What you'll find

A profile or post link leads to a username, so you get the same result as a username search:

• A person: name, username, numeric ID, bio, when they were last seen, and whether they have Telegram Premium and a profile photo
• A bot: name, username and numeric ID, marked as a bot
• A group or channel: title, username, numeric ID, description and number of members

If Telegram has flagged it as a scam or a fake, or has restricted it, Lookup tells you at the top of the result.

Private groups and channels

For a private group or channel, use its invite link. Lookup shows you what Telegram shows anyone who opens it: whether it's a group or a channel, its name, its description and how many members it has. Lookup doesn't join the chat to do it.

The numeric ID isn't included: Telegram doesn't share it through an invite link.

Links to messages in private chats (t.me/c/…) usually don't work: Telegram only shows them to members.

When a link doesn't work

If a search returns nothing, usually:

• the account, group or channel changed or removed its username
• the invite link has expired or was revoked
• the link was cut off when you copied it: copy it again

A search that finds nothing doesn't count toward your daily searches.
