Telegram Account Info: Last Seen, Verified Badge and Scam Labels

Every search ends with a message headed 🔍 Lookup result. Lookup only shows what Telegram makes public, so if a line is missing, Telegram didn't share it for that account.

Who or what it is

• 🆔 ID: the numeric Telegram ID. Tap it to copy it. A person's ID never changes, even when their username does. See How to find a Telegram ID.
• 📋 Type: 👤 User, 🤖 Bot, 👥 Group or 📢 Channel.
• 👤 Name and 📝 Username, for people and bots.

Verified badge, scam and fake labels

These come from Telegram itself, not from Lookup:

• ✔️ Verified by Telegram: Telegram's official verification, the blue check.
• ⚠️ Telegram flags it as a scam
• ⚠️ Telegram flags it as a fake account
• 🗑 Deleted account
• ⛔ Restricted by Telegram, with the reason when Telegram gives one: spam, adult content, sensitive content, copyright infringement or breaking Telegram's rules. If the restriction only applies on iOS or Android, Lookup says so.

The warnings come right after the name, and you see them even without an account.

What "last seen recently" means

The 🕒 Last seen line shows online now, or the exact date and time in UTC when the person shows it to everyone. If they hide it, Telegram still shows everyone a rough range, and so does Lookup:

• recently: between 1 second and 2-3 days ago
• within a week: between 2-3 and 7 days ago
• within a month: between 6-7 days and a month ago
• a long time ago: more than a month ago. Telegram also shows this to anyone the person has blocked.

The ranges are Telegram's, from its FAQ.

For a person

• 🏅 Telegram Premium: they subscribe to Telegram Premium.
• 🛟 Official Telegram support: the account belongs to Telegram's support team.
• 🌐 Data center: the Telegram data center that holds the account, from DC1 to DC5, with its city (Miami, Amsterdam or Singapore).
• 🖼 Profile photo: yes or no.
• 📄 Bio: the text on their profile.

For people Lookup already knows, for example those who have written to it, you may also see 🎂 Birthday, 📣 Personal channel and 📊 Telegram rating, a level based on the Telegram Stars they've spent. A negative rating is a warning sign for Telegram.

For a group or channel

• 🆔 ID: a negative number, starting with -100 for supergroups and channels. It's the chat ID bots ask for.
• 🏷️ Title, 📝 Description and 👥 Members.
• Username, warnings, ✔️ Verified, 🌐 Data center and 🖼 Profile photo work as for people.
• 🔒 Privacy: private, join by invite link only: you searched an invite link to a private group or channel. There's no ID line in that case, because Telegram doesn't share it. See Lookup private Telegram groups and channels.

Forwarded messages

The result starts with 📨 Message forwarded from a user (or a channel, or a group). Two cases look different:

• a channel or group without a public username: just ID, type, title and No username;
• a person who hides their account in forwarded messages: 👤 User (privacy protected), with only the name.
