Doublegram Lookup lets you search Telegram by username and get the public information available for that account, bot, group, or channel.
Send a username to @doublegram_lookup_bot and get a result with its Telegram ID, name, username, bio, and account type when available.
How to search a Telegram username
- Open @doublegram_lookup_bot.
- Send the username, with or without @.
- Lookup analyzes it and returns the available information.
For example:
@durov
You can also send a username contained in a longer message. Lookup can extract the first valid Telegram username automatically.
What you can find
Lookup can search public Telegram entities by username:
- Users: name, username, numeric ID, bio, and account type
- Bots: name, username, numeric ID, and bot status
- Groups: title, username, numeric ID, description, and available member information
- Channels: title, username, numeric ID, description, and available member information
The exact information depends on what Telegram makes publicly available for that entity.
Username format
Both formats work:
@usernameusername
Telegram usernames are 5–32 characters long, must start with a letter, and can contain letters, numbers, and underscores.
Find a Telegram ID from a username
When Lookup can resolve a public username, the result includes the entity's numeric Telegram ID.
This can be useful when you need to identify a Telegram account or distinguish an entity from another account with a similar name.
Other ways to use Lookup
A username isn't the only way to identify a Telegram entity. Lookup can also work with a Telegram ID, a t.me link, or a forwarded Telegram message when available.
Important limitations
Username search works with public Telegram usernames.
Private accounts may return limited information or fail to resolve depending on what Telegram allows Lookup to access. If an account has no public username, searching by name alone isn't enough.
A username can also stop working if the owner changes or removes it. Invalid usernames or usernames that no longer exist cannot be resolved.
