The @doublegram_lookup_bot Telegram bot uses a simple access model: you must have a linked Doublegram account, then your plan decides whether you hit a daily cap or search freely.

What counts as a lookup?
Each successful search that Lookup processes consumes one free lookup when you are on the free plan:
- Typing
@username, a t.me link, or a numeric ID - Forwarding a message from a user, group, or channel
- Privacy-protected forwards (name only) still count — Lookup still answered your request
These do not consume a lookup:
/startand menu buttons (My Data, How it works, Back to Menu)- Messages with no recognizable username, link, or ID — Lookup may reply with your own sender info and a tip instead
Upgrade for unlimited lookups
If you are a Doublegram subscriber (paid plan), Lookup detects your subscription automatically and removes the daily limit. Your My Data screen shows Subscriber · Unlimited lookups.
To subscribe or manage your plan:
- Tap Upgrade on the
/startmenu (shown on the free plan), or - Visit doublegram.com/pricing
After your subscription is active, send a new lookup — you should no longer see the free-quota counter.
When you hit the free limit
After all 5 free lookups for the current UTC day, Lookup blocks further searches and shows:
Daily free lookups finished — You used all 5 free searches available today.
Options:
- Wait until midnight UTC when the counter resets
- Subscribe for unlimited lookups via the pricing link in the message
Troubleshooting
- Still on free after subscribing — Wait a minute and send
/start→ My Data. If status is still wrong, ensure the same Telegram account is linked to the subscribed Doublegram profile. - Lookup temporarily unavailable — Lookup could not verify access or update quota (API or Redis). Retry in a moment.
- Connect account message — You are not linked yet. See Link Your Doublegram Account for Telegram Lookup.
