Doublegram Lookup tells you who is behind a Telegram account, group or channel. Until today you could only use it in its own chat. Now it also works inside your groups, and in any chat.
In groups, Lookup warns admins when someone uses an admin's name to scam members, and when a member changes username. With a single command, admins can see who wrote a message. And anyone can look up a username, an ID or a link without leaving the chat.
Fake admins: the alert arrives right away
Many Telegram scams start in groups. The scammer joins with the same name as an admin, or as the group's support, then messages members in private to scam them.
Lookup checks the name and username of everyone who joins or writes in the group. If one of them matches an admin's, or almost does, the admins get an alert with the person's ID and the name they copied.
The usual tricks don't work: letters from other alphabets that look Latin, like a Cyrillic "а" instead of an "a", numbers instead of letters, like a 0 instead of an o, one letter more or one less. Lookup only sends the alert and never removes anyone: the admins decide what to do.
Username changes, with the old name next to the new one
On Telegram a username changes in seconds, but the ID always stays the same. Turn this alert on and Lookup tells the admins when a member changes username or name, with the old one next to the new one. So you always know who it is.
Lookup sees the change when the person writes in the group, because Telegram doesn't tell bots when someone edits their profile. It only keeps the last username and name of the people who write in the group, and deletes them when they leave.
/lookup: who wrote that message?
Reply to a message with /lookup to see who wrote it: their Telegram ID, username, name, account type and whether Telegram has flagged the account. It works even if they have no username. You can also type /lookup followed by a username, an ID or a t.me link.
Admins choose who sees the answer:
- Invisible: only the admin who asked sees it, and the command doesn't show up in the group;
- Visible to everyone: the answer is posted in the group like a normal message.
These lookups don't use up the admins' personal searches.
Alerts where you want them
For each type of alert, admins choose where it arrives:
- In private: to the admins who have already started Lookup;
- In the group, admins only: a message in the group that only admins can see;
- In the group, to everyone: a normal message that everyone can see.
Everything is set up from /settings in the group. If you want only the group owner to change the settings, go to More settings → Who can change the settings.
Search a Telegram username from any chat
You don't need to open Lookup's chat anymore. In any chat, type @dglookbot followed by a username, an ID or a t.me link, then tap the result: the details are sent right there, in that chat.

How to start
Add Lookup to your group with the button at the bottom of this page: it joins as an admin straight away. If you add it another way, remember to make it an admin: /lookup and the alerts only work that way.
/lookup and the group alerts are included in Doublegram Premium. If you have Premium, add Lookup and the group uses your subscription. If someone without Premium added it, another admin who has Premium can turn it on from /settings in the group, with Activate Premium here.
