Asking Questions About Chat History in Telegram

Query your Telegram chat history in natural language with @DoublegramScribeBot. Mention the bot in a premium group or message it in private: What did Marco say yesterday? Who talked about the budget? What did we discuss today?

@DoublegramScribeBot turns your Telegram chat into something you can ask about instead of scroll through. Write or speak a normal question — the bot finds relevant messages and summarizes what was said.

How you ask depends on where you are in Telegram:

  • Private chat — Message @DoublegramScribeBot directly (subscription required)
  • Telegram groupMention @DoublegramScribeBot in your message (group premium required)

Do not reply to a transcription message (🎙️) expecting search — mention the bot or reply to an AI reply instead.

Example questions

About a person

  • @DoublegramScribeBot what did Marco say yesterday?
  • @DoublegramScribeBot show messages from @nebula today
  • What did Sarah mention about the deadline? (private chat)

  • What did we talk about today?
  • Summary of yesterday's discussion
  • What happened in this group last week?

About message types

  • What voice messages did we send today?
  • Any photos shared about the event? (searches captions)

Tip: Include who, what, and when in one question for best results — e.g. What did Marco say about pricing yesterday afternoon?

How Scribe answers

  1. Scribe understands your question and decides whether chat history is needed.
  2. It searches the current chat only — applying person and date filters when you name someone or a time.
  3. It pulls the most relevant messages (recent cache + long-term archive).
  4. It writes a concise answer based on what was actually said — not generic knowledge.

General questions that do not need your chat — Explain Dante's Inferno or Write a follow-up email — are answered without searching history.

Forum topics (private chat)

Ask inside a topic thread to keep context scoped to that topic. Scribe uses the thread you are in when choosing which messages to search.

Costs and access

  • Private chat — Active Doublegram subscription; AI answers may use AI credits on some plans

If Scribe cannot find anything

  • Message was sent before Scribe joined the group
  • Person never posted (name not in Scribe's member index)
  • Content was only in an image with no caption
  • Voice note not yet transcribed (wait a few seconds and try again)
  • Group AI not enabled — activate premium with /upgrade
