Set a Credit Budget in the Telegram AI Bot

To keep Telegram AI use predictable, @DoublegramAIBot lets you set a spending cap with /budget. Pick an amount and period — daily, weekly, or monthly — and the bot notifies you in Telegram when you hit your limit.

Using the Telegram AI bot every day is easy — but credits can add up. In your private chat with @DoublegramAIBot, the /budget command lets you set a spending limit for a chosen period and get notified in Telegram when you approach or hit it.

Set it up in private chat with @DoublegramAIBot.

Open budget settings

Send /budget or tap Budget on the /start menu.

If no budget is active, the bot explains how it works and shows buttons to configure one. If a budget is already active, you see:

  • Credits remaining in the current period
  • Credits spent vs total limit
  • Period (daily, weekly, or monthly)

Set your budget

Use the on-screen buttons:

  1. Choose amount — presets like 10, 25, 50, 100 credits, or enter a custom number
  2. Choose period — Daily, Weekly, or Monthly

The bot confirms when your budget is active.

Alerts

When you reach your limit during a period, the bot sends a Budget Alert message showing how much you spent. When a new period starts, you may see a period reset notification.

Budget tracking is for awareness — it helps you notice heavy usage. Your actual credit balance still comes from /credits.

Example: Set 50 credits per week if you want a soft cap for everyday chat and automations.

Disable or change budget

Send /budget again and use the buttons to:

  • Change the amount or period
  • Disable budget — turn off tracking entirely

Quick reference

  • /budget — set, view, or disable
  • Periods: daily, weekly, monthly
  • Alerts when limit is reached
  • Also visible in /credits when active
