Doublegram AI Bot on Telegram uses a credit system: each AI request costs a small number of credits depending on the model you choose. New users can claim a one-time welcome bonus of free credits — no payment required.
This guide explains how to claim those free credits and how to check your balance with /credits. Open @DoublegramAIBot in a private chat and follow along.
What are welcome credits?
Welcome credits are a free bundle of AI credits given to new users who link their Doublegram account to the bot. The exact number is shown directly in the bot — look for the message You have X FREE credits waiting for you after /start, or on the Get Free Credits button.
These credits let you try the bot freely: chat with different AI models, generate images, transcribe voice notes, and explore other features before buying more.
Good to know: Welcome credits are a one-time bonus. Each person can claim them once. If you already received the bonus, the bot will tell you it was already claimed.
How to claim your free credits
Claiming the welcome bonus takes less than a minute:
- Open @DoublegramAIBot and send
/start. - If you have not claimed the bonus yet, you will see a prominent button like Get X Free Credits. Tap it.
- If your Doublegram account is not linked yet, the bot shows a short guide with two options:
- Register on Doublegram — if you do not have an account yet (opens doublegram.com).
- Link Account — opens the Doublegram mini app so you can connect your Telegram to your Doublegram account.
- After linking, credits are added automatically. The bot confirms with a success message showing your new balance.
- If your account was already linked when you tapped the button, credits are added immediately — no extra steps.
Try it: Send /start → tap Get Free Credits → link your account if prompted → send /credits to confirm your balance.
Check your balance with /credits
Send /credits anytime to see your current credit balance. You can also tap the Credits button on the /start menu.
The /credits screen shows:
- Your current balance — how many credits you have right now.
- Budget info — if you have set a spending limit with
/budget, you will also see how much of it you have used. - How credits work — a short reminder that cost varies by model, credits are only charged for successful responses, and your balance never expires.
- Get AI Credits button — to buy more credits when you need them.
You can also see your balance quickly in /status, which shows credits alongside your active model and language.
How credits are used
Every time you send a message to the bot and get a successful AI response, a small number of credits is deducted from your balance. The cost depends on the AI model you are using — more powerful models typically cost more per request.
- Credits are charged only for successful responses — if something fails, you are not charged.
- Your balance never expires.
- Different models have different costs. Check
/statusto see the cost per request for your current model.
Tip: Before a long session, send /credits or /status to make sure you have enough credits for the model you want to use.
