In Telegram groups, @DoublegramScribeBot behaves differently depending on what you send. Members do not need many commands — just know when to mention the bot and when to send a voice note alone.
Voice notes — no mention needed
Send a voice message (microphone button) anywhere in the group:
- Scribe transcribes automatically on the free tier (50/hour shared) or unlimited on premium
- Reply appears as 🎙️ + text
- Works for every member — no subscription required
AI features — mention or reply (premium)
For questions, summaries, reminders, or history search, the group must be on premium. Then use one of these patterns:
Mention the bot
Include @DoublegramScribeBot in your text message:
- @DoublegramScribeBot what did we discuss about pricing yesterday?
- @DoublegramScribeBot remind us to post the update on Monday at 9
- @DoublegramScribeBot summarize today's voice notes
Reply to Scribe's AI message
Tap Reply on a previous AI answer from Scribe (not a transcription) and continue the conversation:
- Can you elaborate on that?
- Who said that?
Do not reply to 🎙️ transcriptions expecting AI — Scribe treats those as voice output, not chat. Mention the bot or reply to an AI text response instead.
Commands that work in groups
/start— Welcome menu, language flags, Settings/upgrade— View perks or activate group premium/reply keyword— Admin only: save automatic reply/unreply keyword— Admin only: remove automatic reply
/credits works in private chat only, not in groups.
When Scribe stays silent
Normal behavior — Scribe ignores most group messages:
- Plain text without @mention (unless it matches an auto-reply keyword)
- Replies to other people's messages
- Replies to 🎙️ transcription messages
- Photos, stickers, etc. without a mention
This prevents the bot from responding to every message in busy groups.
Admins-only AI mode
If admins set AI for administrators only in Settings, non-admin members still get transcription but see:
🛡️ In this group only administrators can use the AI.
Rate limits
Each member can receive up to 60 AI responses per hour in groups (anti-abuse). Transcription is not counted against this limit.
Forum topics
Send mentions and voice notes inside a topic thread — Scribe responds in that same topic.
