Beyond language, @DoublegramScribeBot on Telegram offers two settings that shape everyday use: timezone (when reminders fire) and personality (how AI replies sound). Both live under Settings on the /start menu.

Timezone
Timezone matters for reminders. When you say remind me tomorrow at 9, Scribe schedules the notification in your local time.
How to set it
/start→ Settings → Set Timezone.- Scribe shows buttons with the current time in each major timezone.
- Tap the button that matches where you are — the bot confirms with your local time.
If you try to create a reminder before setting a timezone, Scribe may prompt you to pick one first. After saving, retry your reminder request.
Private vs groups
Timezone is always personal. Each member sets their own — even in a group. Your reminders use your timezone; another member's reminders use theirs.
Default if unset: Europe/Rome. Change it if you are not in that region.
Example: You are in New York and say remind me at 8 tomorrow morning. With timezone set to US Eastern, the reminder fires at 8:00 AM your time — not Rome time.
Personality
Personality changes tone and wording of AI replies — not features, facts, or length. Pick how Scribe sounds when it chats, searches history, or confirms reminders.

Private vs groups
In your private Telegram chat, your personality applies to your conversation with the bot.
In Telegram groups, personality is shared (same storage model as group language). Only group administrators can change it — it affects how @DoublegramScribeBot sounds when anyone uses AI in that group.
Personality does not change transcription text — only AI-generated replies.

- How long replies are (Scribe keeps answers concise by default)
- Subscription or credit requirements
- Transcription accuracy or formatting
Troubleshooting
- Reminder at wrong time — Check timezone in Settings. Pick the button showing your actual local time.
- Bot asked for timezone mid-conversation — Normal on first reminder. Select your zone, then repeat the reminder.
- Cannot change personality in group — Only admins can. Ask a group admin or change it in your private chat for personal use.
