@DoublegramScribeBot transcribes Telegram voice messages — the ones you record with the microphone button. No slash command, no extra step: send the voice note in Telegram and the bot replies with the text.
Works in your private Telegram chat with @DoublegramScribeBot and in Telegram groups where the bot is added.
Step by step
- Open the chat (private with Scribe, or a group with Scribe added).
- Hold the microphone button at the bottom of Telegram — this creates a voice message, not an audio file attachment.
- Speak your message and release to send.
- Scribe posts a short 🎙️ status, then updates it with your transcription.
The transcription appears as a reply to your voice note, prefixed with 🎙️.
Important: Use the microphone button for voice messages. Scribe does not transcribe audio files sent as document or music attachments.

If private chat is locked, link your account and subscribe first — see Activate Scribe and Access Features on Telegram. In Telegram groups, anyone can send a voice note without a subscription.
What happens after transcription
By default, Scribe only transcribes — it does not automatically start an AI conversation from your voice note.
- Private chat — Send a text message or another voice note to chat with Scribe, set reminders, or search history.
- Groups — Mention @DoublegramScribeBot or reply to an AI message (not the transcription) to ask questions. AI requires group premium.
Forum topics (private chat)
If your private chat with Scribe uses Topics (forum mode), send a voice note inside a topic — Scribe transcribes it in that same topic thread.
Language and accuracy
Scribe uses your saved language (flag on /start) as a hint for the transcription engine. Pick the language you speak most often for better results. Scribe can still transcribe other languages, but accuracy is best when your setting matches your speech.
When transcription fails
- No speech detected — Audio was silent, too noisy, or unclear. Try again closer to the mic.
- Unable to transcribe — Temporary processing error. Wait a moment and resend.
- Nothing happens in private chat — Check subscription status with
