@DoublegramScribeBot is Doublegram's Telegram bot for voice, memory, and everyday assistance. It lives in your private chat with the bot and in Telegram groups where you add it — transcribing voice messages, answering questions about past conversations, and managing reminders in plain language.
Unlike a generic chatbot, Scribe is built around what happens in your Telegram chats: who said what, what you discussed last week, and what you need to remember tomorrow.
This guide explains what Scribe can do and how to get started from @DoublegramScribeBot — even if you have never used it before.
What can you do with Scribe?
- Transcribe voice messages — Send a voice note in private or in a group; Scribe converts it to text, often with live streaming updates while it processes.
- Chat with AI — Ask questions, get summaries, or continue a conversation in your private chat with the bot.
- Search chat history — Ask things like What did Marco say yesterday? or What did we talk about today? and get answers based on real messages in the chat.
- Set reminders — Say Remind me to call the client tomorrow at 10 and Scribe schedules a notification at the right time.
- Organize private forum topics — In a private chat with topics enabled, Scribe can auto-generate a title when you send your first voice note in a new topic.
- Auto-replies in groups — Group admins can link a keyword to a saved message (text, image, video, and more) that Scribe sends automatically.
Private chat vs groups
Scribe works in two places, with different rules:
Private chat with the bot
Here you get the full experience: voice transcription, AI chat, reminders, and history search. You need a linked Doublegram account and an active Doublegram subscription for private features (text and voice).
Telegram groups
When Scribe is added to a group:
- Voice transcription is free for all members — up to 50 transcriptions per hour per group on the standard tier.
- AI features (mention the bot or reply to its messages to ask questions, search history, set reminders) require group premium, activated by a member with an active subscription via
/upgrade. - With group premium: unlimited transcription and AI for members (admins can restrict AI to admins only).
Quick picture: Groups get free transcription for everyone; premium unlocks unlimited voice + AI for the whole group.
How to start
- Open @DoublegramScribeBot in Telegram.
- Press Start or send
/start. - Pick your language with the flag buttons (English, Italian, Spanish, French, German).
- For private chat: link your Doublegram account and activate a subscription if prompted (see Activate Scribe and Access Features on Telegram).
- Send a voice note or type a message to begin.
The /start menu also gives you Settings (timezone, personality, group options) and Credits when AI credits are enabled on your plan.
Settings worth knowing early
- Timezone — Important for reminders so tomorrow at 9 means your local time.
- Personality — Choose how Scribe sounds (precise, friendly, neutral, picky, or authoritative) without changing what it can do.
- Group AI management — In premium groups, admins choose whether all members or only admins can use AI.
Who is Scribe for?
- Teams and communities that use voice notes in Telegram groups
- Anyone who wants searchable memory of what was said in a chat
- People who set reminders from natural language instead of calendar apps
- Group admins who want keyword-based auto-replies (FAQ links, rules, media)
Try it: Open @DoublegramScribeBot, press Start, pick 🇬🇧, then send a short voice note: Transcribe this and tell me the main point in one sentence.
