Verification happens inside Telegram — no external signup. Members use the Verify Captcha button from the Telegram group's welcome message posted by @doublegram_captcha_bot.
Step by step for members
- In the group, find the message asking you to verify (you are muted until done).
- Tap Verify Captcha.
- The Telegram Mini App opens from @doublegram_captcha_bot.
- The app validates your Telegram session (signed initData — you cannot spoof another user).
- Geographic firewall runs first — if your country is blocked, you are removed before captcha.
- If allowed, Google reCAPTCHA runs:
- Invisible — automatic for most low-risk profiles
- Checkbox — "I'm not a robot" for higher-risk profiles
- On success, @doublegram_captcha_bot unmutes you and updates the verification message in the Telegram group.
What you should see
- Success in Mini App — confirmation that verification completed
- Group message update — you can now speak in the group
- Mute lifted — you can post immediately
Invisible vs checkbox
@doublegram_captcha_bot picks the challenge level using a suspicion score (no username, no profile photo, past failed verifications increase risk; Telegram Premium decreases it). Most real users see invisible reCAPTCHA only.
Common issues
- Button does nothing — Update Telegram to the latest version.
- Removed before finishing — Verification timeout expired. Ask an admin to re-invite you.
- Blocked by firewall — Your country may be on the group's block list. Contact a group admin.
- reCAPTCHA fails — Retry once; persistent failures may lead to removal.
Security: Only trust the verify button from the official bot @doublegram_captcha_bot. Scammers may post fake verify links.
Quick reference
- Tap: Verify Captcha in group
- Provider: Google reCAPTCHA v2
